Here is a message received today on one of the 10-10 reflectors concerning Windows 10,

------------------------
I would carefully consider your decision to upgrade to windows 10. If you have anything less than 4GB of memory that can not be upgraded, do not even consider Windows 10. I'd even be leery of Win8.1 Go with Windows 7 if you are still using XP.

Windows 10 has yet to be certified for release to the commercial market. That is why Microsoft is offering their software free for you to upgrade. Microsoft is going to use you, as the consumer, as their guinea pig software tester to root out all the bugs before they certify it ready for commercial release, which they will charge and arm and a leg for. If you actually read the security agreements that come with windows 10, it will tell you right there that you will be their software tester.

There have also been reports that a number of older NIC cards are incompatible with Win 10. I also suspect this will be a problem with some of the older AC97 type sound cards.

One of the Florida county hunters who I was with a week ago said that he was in Best Buy and there were several customers in there at the service desk who were "visibly upset" over their computers which they had installed Windows 10 on.
