Hi everyone. I thought I'd start a new thread to make it easy for you to spot the most important info. Here you go:

St. Kitts has approved my visitor's license.

I'll be active "holiday style" on St. Kitts (IOTA NA-104 & DXCC 249) March 9th - March 13th as V4/KB1EHE.

A big "thank you" to Rob KC1ACN who ran propagation analysis for me. Thanks, Rob!

Best time / bands to St. Kitts are looking to be 01, 02, and 03 UTC, 80 & 40m. 20m might be okay at 01 UTC. (See the attached propagation-prediction graphics from Rob for 01, 02, and 03 UTC.)

Given the new propagation info, I'm bringing with me three wire antennas:

(1) 53-ft. end-fed wire sloper with 9:1 UNUN
(2) MFJ-17758 loaded 80/40 dipole
(3) Simple 20m dipole

As I mentioned, I will be active "holiday style". As I'll be on vacation with my lovely XYL, Elsie, KB1IFZ, I'll hop on the air a few times when the opportunity presents itself and the band conditions are favorable.

Elsie will toss info up on the DX cluster when I'm on the air.

If you're interested in the design and construction of the 53-ft. end-fed with the 9:1 UNUN, check out this excellent article: http://w5bii.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=9to1_unun_antenna

It should be great fun A-B testing antennas and propagation.

I hope to catch you on the air. If you have any questions, please let me know.

73,
Eric KB1EHE
