Celebrate Wallingford is happening a little earlier this year. This years event is on October 1st and 2nd. I've reached out to the MRC (Medical Reserve Corp) to see if they are having a booth, and I've found out they are. I am a member of the MRC so I'll most likely be volunteering for some booth duty on Sunday October 2nd. I've asked if we could display the WARG (Wallingford Amateur Radio Group) banner at the MRC booth (still awaiting an answer on this). If we can represent our radio club at Wallingford Days, are there any other 'volunteers' that would be willing to spend some time at the booth? Saturday is open and Sunday I can do a stretch of 4 hours or so.
If this all pans out, could we have some club members monitoring the 147.360 repeater? If we have interested folks wanting to hear/talk and learn what this radio stuff is all about, it would be great to hear a live person on the other end.
