I just received an email from Yaesu Customer Service. I inquired about repair of my broken SP-8 Speaker and also asked about repair of my MD-100 microphone both which I replaced with brand new purchases about three weeks ago.

Yaesu told me that the SP-8 was not serviced anymore but the MD-100 microphone was.

I was surprised and thought that they would say that the MD-100 was not repairable or not economically feasible to repair and the SP8 speaker was.

The SP-8 is available for sale. I did asked them what would happen of someone like myself brought one and it failed under warranty? Also I'm trying to find out if they have the switch assembly board available for purchase or if they know someone who does repair them.

I'm considering about sending just the microphone for repair.
