More on that later. Saturday 15 was not performing. Most of the work on 15 was done on Sunday. 20 and 15 Sunday was best to Europe and US. Also in there some AF. Not as much South America as you would have expected. Of course not much out of the Caribbean because of the hurricane. A few CO's on and some deep south Caribbean stations that did not get as much damage as the rest. A few VK/ZL and some Pacific. Only 1 JA station worked the LAST QSO on 20 meters Sunday night at 24:58. He got my call had a problem with my state, a string of CT's and we were each other last QSO. This was a very good weekend for me. I did not work the whole weekend on the contest. This was a Class Reunion weekend. Actually they called it the 52nd reunion and 70th birthday party weekend. Saturday we had a dinner and party at Club Lucent from 6 PM until 10 PM. Nice food and a night club type atmosphere with a DJ and all. About 60 people attended. So I stopped operating about 5 PM to get ready to go. My cousin who graduated with me came down from New Hampshire so she could be here for the weekend. Today, Sunday, we had a breakfast at the Four Points Sheraton, (yea the hamfest hotel), from about 10 to Noon, so after getting on this morning for about and hour I took time off for the breakfast. An interesting, fun and great weekend! Hope you all had a chance to play some RTTY this weekend. If you did we would appreciate if you use the Meriden ARC for your club score. We need a minimum of 3 logs to show in the club standings. Al - N1API |
