RE: Worked All Europe RTTY Contest Score and Reports - N1API - 11-10-2019 I thought I was going to miss this one. My "radio" computer went stupid on me Friday but my IT guy drove 40 miles to get me going. The bands were horrible. 20 meters was the best and when Europe went dark so did 20 meters. 15 only produced 8 QSOs and I got 35 QSOs and 10 SQTCs from 40 meters. But I have a very small 14 foot MFJ dipole on 40 so I don't expect too much from it. There seemed to be an obvious lack of stations from SA and AF and the Caribbean. The JAs were there Saturday but none Sunday because of band conditions. Much of my score came from S and R QTC. In fact QTCs were over 56% of my log. Here is the breakdown: START-OF-LOG: 2.0 ARRL-SECTION: CT CALLSIGN: N1API CLUB: Meriden ARC CONTEST: DARC-WAEDC-RTTY CATEGORY: SINGLE-OP-ASSISTED ALL LOW RTTY CLAIMED-SCORE: 167049 OPERATORS: N1API NAME: Al ADDRESS: ADDRESS: Meriden, CT 06451 ADDRESS: UNITED STATES Band Q/QTC QSOs Mlt 7 QSO 35 57 7 SQTC 10 0 14 QSO 247 134 14 RQTC 260 0 14 SQTC 247 0 21 QSO 8 16 Total All 807 207 Score: 167,049 1 Mult = 3.9 Q's Being my favorite DX contest I spent a lot of time on this one, especially running stations on 20. 10 meters was dead, I did not hear a signal all weekend. I did break off to work the TX7T on Marquesas Island on FT8 on 20 and 15 meters. That took less than 15 minutes and I had them bagged. I just need this one on 40 meters and it's done. If 20 and 15 were better I would have liked to see a total of 1000 Q's between contacts and QSOs. JA was good enough last night where I was able to exchange QTCs with two stations. How did you do? Al N1API RE: Worked All Europe RTTY Contest Score and Reports - N1API - 01-03-2020 Better than I expected. Was Number One First Call Area also not noted on the Certificate. |
