If I only had an Amp - KC1SA - 10-03-2014
Last night and this afternoon Antarctica (Russian station) was very loud. Did not have the legs to get through, but listened for some time. Alaska was coming through very nicely on 12 and 15 meters as well.

Well you may not need an amp. They get on quite often and have a respectable signal. You can catch them at times when there are not many calling. Sometime it's all in the antenna too. KC4AAA was on RTTY this weekend and that was a new digital county for me. There are also other Antarctica stations down there that show from time to time. Despite being cold and isolated there is a surprisingly lot of activity from down there.

@ Steve: What mode did you hear him use? Tried to hear him when he used RTTY. Couldn't hear him and couldn't wait for the Band to open more.
