More stories after the results. I really was not going for anything special but it seems I just kept making contacts though Sunday afternoon I started to to wear down as I got toward 700 Q's. So I used the Available Mult's & Q's window and just kept clicking on the blue contacts and just start working everything in the bandmap. I did run into a few Multipliers in the last few hours and those are always a nice boost for the score. The last 20 minutes or so of the contest I sat on a 4X6 station on 20 meters but I could not break the pile up. I guess I could have gone off a worked just regular Qs and and a few more points but I was happy where I stood. I'm not going to win it anyway. Friday night I stated out on 20 meters and worked the first couple of hours just to get going then went off to watch a couple of TV shows. I got back on 20 before going to bed, it was 0552 UTC and 20 meters was still in great shape. The band had shifted and there a a load of KH6, VK's ZLs and some South Americans on. Also the big gun EU were still coming in. I stayed on for about an hour and put about another 23 QSO in the log. Sunday evening the JAs were booming in on 15 meters and I put a number of them in the log. All in all a fun weekend, but I'm wiped out and will probably fall asleep watching a DVD tonight... hi. Hope everyone had some fun on the air this weekend and please post your scores and credit Meriden ARC for your club. -73- AL RE: ARRL SSB DX Contest Results - K1PU - 03-08-2015 I didn't play for the whole thing. Got on about 10AM Saturday ... off at 11PM less eating and bathroom brakes. 10 was hopping, had signals al the way up to 28.950! Sunday got on about 2:20PM until the end, minus food consumption time Had a ice dam on the roof and water was getting in the upstairs storage room. After some beating and ice melt, plus some heat gun action I broke it away from the room and the waters flowed! I never compete well on SSB. Lack of a beam is the primary handicap, but still fun despite not having 6 db forward gain plus F/B to block out the guys to the west while working EU. Results as follows ....
