Marcomi's ELETTRA on the air - SpecEvent - W1DMM - 06-01-2016
The floating Marconi radio laboratory Elettra (IY4EC) will be back on air for the duration of the Museum ships weekend. This will celebrate 80 years from the first experiment of sea-land-air radio conversations carried out in 1936 between the ship Elettra, located in the Ligurian Sea, and New York, and two aircraft in the vicinity of New York City. The callsign will be IY4EC. A special commemorative QSL card will be sent to all stations making contact. More info:
