80th ARRL November Sweepstakes

I'm interested and hopefully others too.

Any Elmers in The Club have any insight on prepping for this?

Has The Club ever operated as a Club in this?

Sweepstakes has always been one of the major events for the club. That and Field Day. Typically we would operate from the club. Of course that was when we had a station set up. I don't see any reason we can't put up some antennas and operate. It is a great fun contest.

I have a 'lightly used' Buddistick setup coming tomorrow.
Also have a fiberglass tripod to set up a portable dipole, beam, verticle, etc. (don't have an antenna yet).

It's been stated that The November Sweepstakes is a Club Activity.

Whether or not the club will participate at the Club Shack has not been determined. I for one hope this is so. I will volunteer time and resources to establishing The Club as our base of operations as needed.

I have an OCF Dipole (actually a HF J-Pole) that can be installed at The Club if needed. It is not in use at the moment.

What would be needed is a group that is interested in operating. Also some sort of antenna would need to be constructed.

Finally you need to be familiar with N1MM which will be used for logging, so it would be best for the interested operators to attend the next activity meeting.

Rich would be the person to coordinate your activity with.
