We are saddened to report the passing of Lenny Butkiewicz, KB1TJC on Monday, September 22, 2014. In his activities with ham radio, Lenny became a familiar and frequent voice on the local FM repeaters, sharing his quick wit and insights of local happenings. Despite his own medical trials over the last few years, he was often seen helping others in their ham radio life. He had focused a lot of his on-the-air time with the new JT65-HF digital mode, scoring many DX contacts. He posted some nice pictures of his shack on his QRZ.com page, and achieved almost 18,000 look-ups over the last few years. Here at the MARC, we will miss his friendly presence and very positive spirit. Rest in peace, Lenny, and 73.....
