Not in this day & age. At 14?

And Thank God!!!
Checking in on the status of things.
Anyone with Cable seen the ad on Comcast WPL station?
Do we have name tags?
Snacks / Refreshments squared away?
Set up set for 1/3/2015? It's early but I think inclement weather is in store for 1/2 & 1/3, but it's too early for the weathermen to be accurate.
Hey Steve,

I don't have cable so haven't seen the ad.

John K1LYP made some name tags that say "Hello my name is ______. I'm a future ham radio operator."

I believe John said he was also going to buy the refreshments. Bill W1KKF approved the club reimbursing the expense.

I'm scheduled to attend some ARES training Saturday morning, but I'm available for setup Saturday afternoon after 2pm. Does that work for the others? In case of inclement weather, we decided to cancel the event.

73,
Joe

I'm good with 2pm setup on Saturday, by that time the weather may be out of here. I printed 25 Phonetics CW charts out and will have 25 other versions printed as well (off the laser printer).

I printed a few World Maps, maybe a little easier on the eyes.

Also will bring the 2M/440 HT, the dual yagi handheld Arrow-II, my laptop with Orbitron, my iPhone has the Satellite Locating App installed.
I made a mockup of SO-50 with cardboard though it's not 65#, it's dimensionally accurate. If I can find paint today, I'll paint it appropriately.

I also have a few links to the AMSAT Prediction page, the Dnepr Rocket Launch of a Sat. Mission to Space, a few others.

I'll get the Hotspot working and hopefully connect the Laptop to the overhead for a demo if anyone thinks that's a good idea. Trying to find Paul on the STEM/ARISS communication link hereabouts, will include that too if I can find it.

Lastly, there is an SO-50 pass at about 5PM Sunday. We can make a few contacts if the weather holds up. I even had clouds disrupt the signal so... keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer!

That's it for me.
Sounds great guys! I appreciate all of your helpSmile

John K1LYP printed some nice flyers and I posted them up around town in both Meriden and Wallingford at the grocery stores, Dunkin Donuts, Library, YMCA and other places I could find a bulletin board.
