Well! What can I say. I was overwhelmed by the 40 meter conditions. 40 meters starts to open about dusk, but contacts can be made before that. I did something different and that was I did early morning contesting on the 40 meter band and that is why the Qs and countries are so high. I got on both days from about midnight to 2 AM. I should have dragged my rear out of bed and checked the band before daybreak. Maybe next time. I was surprised that many of them I worked first call, of course some I had to work hard for. My best shots on 40 meters were 2 ZLs and three Hawaii stations. The great thing about Hawaii is that they were all in different counties so I also booked three Hawaiian 40 meter counties. I am still searching for that elusive Alaskan station on 40 meters for my DXCC. I need 19 countries to get to DXCC on 40 meters and I'm pretty sure that I've worked them this weekend. Maybe someday I'll find something for 75 meters and work 5BDXCC.

Hope you all had some time to have some fun on the radio this weekend. Lets hear your story.
