Every QSO counts RE: CQ WW RTTY Contest Scores And Reports - N1API - 09-25-2022 Here are my results for the weekend. Better than I expected because I had a lot of problems getting started. For some reason my RTTY setup was not working. I don't know if it was because I "forgot" how to set up for RTTY or there was a problem with the configuration. I know that I restarted the computer thinking that maybe I just need a fresh start. Well ... for some reason the computer changed the comport on the RIGblaster from 18 to 17. It has done this before. I started it again and it went back to Com18. I may have had a problem with EXTFSK which I need for FSK as this is what the DX5000 uses rather than AFSK. So after about an hour and half of putzing around with it Saturday morning I finally got going. On issue I do have is RFI on 15 meters, I have to reduce power to about 70 watts depending on where the beam is otherwise the RF kills the RTTY and I get distortion or just a mark tone. I did not try 40 at all if I remember correctly I have can't do any RTTY on 40. This is thanks to the 40 meter dipole that I put up. Great for CW and FT8 but terrible for the "audio" digital modes problems. So here are my results. I got number 300 just about 10 minutes before the contest ended and said, "that's all I'm happy". Bands were OK but not a lot of Asia, only one JA and no HI or AK which is unusual. I had some nice runs on 20 and a little run on 10 meters. I probably could have concentrated on it more it seem to be open south and west with some mid Med and Atlantic countries in there. I do enjoy the RTTY tests because you can just sit there and "push buttons" and run up a score. If 10 was open better I would have probably made a couple of hundred contacts there. Here is hoping for the WAE RTTY Test in I believe November.
