MF/HF Receive loop - W1CTN - 01-15-2015 NEW @ RADIO ANSONIA ! W1AEX RECEIVE LOOP http://www.w1aex.com/loop/loop.html This 85' loop is a good bi-directional receive antenna for my location. Your mileage may vary. It does what it is suppose to do. This loop reduces the ambient noise so you can copy a marginal signal on the low bands. I do not have the room for a beverage. I haven't needed to use a preamp with this loop, even when copying non-directional beacons in the 300 kHz band.
