160m ssb as well - KC1SA - 02-28-2015

this is a bit of a challenge. NC, NY, MD, PA, VA OH and ON worked so far.

added MI, DE, MA and CT (Dave!!!). Perhaps my antenna is too low, I can't seem to get past about 500 miles.

Nice to cu on top band.

On 160 it's all about polarization.
Low "full size dipole" @ 30-40' height = 700 mile range

1/4 wave vertical or inverted L, 40' to 70' vertical section and 2 elevated radials = world wide communications.

The above statements are with a power level of 100 watts...
If you doubt it, drop K2RS Jack, an email about his setup. 100+ countries, no receive antennas and located on a city lot.
