Saturday was very disappointing I just could not get a good run into Europe. There was some Europe on 10 in the morning, also a run for a while on 15 but 20 never seemed to get going. Of course the "broken" SteppIR did not help though I could usually work what I heard. Sunday was a little better with the exception of 10 meters which didn't seem to open. 15 was better, I had some good runs there and also on 20 meters. The bands seemed to be shutting down and I quit about 45 minutes early, working an XE on 20 for a multiplier. I usually try to exit with a clean log by swapping all my QTC but I left while still holding 2 contacts. I did take more QTC this time. A couple were by surprise, (maybe), while I was expecting to send my QTC the other station started sending. I even asked a JA for QTC as he had such a nice signal on 15 meters toward the end of the contest I watched him send one set to a station and figured what the heck give it a shot and I got them all on the first transmission. First time I've taken QTC from a JA station. I _DO_ have to start thinking about a new contest computer. Not that I can't work with this one but especially with a RTTY contest I need the advantage of a second monitor with all the windows that have to be open for a Digital Contest. My XP computer now only has output for one HDMI and a DVI plug and SVGA plug. I thought that I could steal use of the big 32" monitor for this contest but it does not have input for DVI or SVGA, so I'm going to have to work on getting a new contest computer built up and find a way to squeeze another monitor in here some how. This place is looking like "mission control" now. What's it going to look like if I put another computer in and monitor? (Actually replace the one I have now, which I have ideas for - more on that later). Well that's my story, what's yours? Al - N1API RE: WAE RTTY Contest Results - KC1SA - 11-15-2015 Didn't have my heart in this contest, too many other tasks this weekend. SET was a priority then this contest took second place for radio priorities.
