I'll be leaving this afternoon late for the hotel, (in Windsor Locks), for the convention and will be back early Saturday evening.
I'll have my laptop with me and will be able to keep an eye on the Forum and my emails.
See you there Friday and / or Saturday.

Great weather for a 100th anniversary celebration for ARRL in Hartford this weekend! It couldn't have been nicer if it was planned this way! Fred Ring, W1NHS, and I were there yesterday (Thursday) and attended a few of the afternoon discussion events. We went to ARRL HQ in the morning via the bus provided at the CT Conference Center.
Yesterday was exhibitor setup day and I'm sure Johnny Bee was very busy. He has great floor space location.
Tomorrow, Joe Taylor will be giving a talk at noon time that Fred and I will attend. My stint as a Tour Guide is this morning from 9 am to 1 pm at the HQ building. The whole place has a carnival atmosphere!

We had a blast. (Mel is a hoot, you got to spend some time with him and see for yourself!). And it was good to see Rob again. I enjoyed meeting many of the members that I talk to and some that (for propagation reasons don't), and all the interested people that stopped by.
On behalf of Mel thanks to the following for their help this weekend
KD5DE - Mel
N1API - Al
VE9KM - Rob
K1PU - Mark
N1ZN - Jim
IF I've forgotten anyone sorry, please let me know so that I can correct the list!
There were over 150 guests who signed the guest book. We did a number of renewals and also took donations for the scholarship fund, (a great showing for that). There were many non members who expressed an interest in collecting their numbers and we promoted the QSO party in two weeks. According to Mel this convention was a resounding success.
I'm sure that Mel will have the full report and numbers in his next President's message. If you were there and took pictures please send them to the new 10-10 Newsletter Editor.
Also to K1PU / K1WJL for the web page and Key Klix
