To all:
From the looks of it we have a few contesters in the ranks.
I just read a few threads regarding the 10 meter contest, and as we are active and "gung-ho" there is still enough disorganization to frustrate the operators.
I believe it is time to take a HARD look at what we can accomplish in the contesting world, within our present situation of that every contest is a Field Day exercise.
We all hope the future will bring us telephone poles, high wires and directive antennas, but that's the future.
It is all well and good to say for example ...let's operate the ARRL DX contests. But can we fully commit the effort needed to accomplish that goal? Putting up antennas in February and March is quite a pain if severe cold weather is upon us.
That's why I feel we need to put together an outline regarding the contest end of the club. Let's get together soon and start some brainstorming.
Just my .02 cents.
