Well I'm Back From Memphis

I'm back from Memphis. What a great vacation which had a lousy local end to it.

I got to Washington and decided to switch to the Acela Express to get home earlier and faster. It worked in fact the train was 1 minute earlier than schedule to New Haven. FYI on the GPS top Acela speed was 130 MPH but I did see one 135 MPH spike.

Anyway when I started the car I got a message that said "Service Battery Charging System." Thought that because the car sat for eight days that maybe the [brand new battery] was weak. Got to Wallingford then to "Archers Corner" in South Meriden. Coming down Hanover Ave. going toward South Meriden bad things started to happen. The car went into "battery saver mode", lights went dim, AC off, all power options went dead but still able to drive, people beeping their horns at me cause I had no lights. Got to the center of South Meriden, just before Main Street the car died totally. I pulled over just across from the Maxi-Mart gas station. Even the hazard-lights were dead. Called home and Triple A, car towed to Wallingford Buick where it sits.

Cut that part out and it was the best convention I've been to!
